MELATHRON CAFE - Logo and ID design

The cafe resides just beside the Court of Chalcis. It got its name from "Themis Melathron". We decided to emphasize the above idea, thus we designed a modern version of Themis, with loose hair.

The waving of the hair comes from the breeze of the Sea, which is located to the left of the store and "our" Themis, is facing towards the Court, which is on the right side of the store. So, the shop became a meeting point.

We decided purple as the dominant color through a minimalist rendition in order to express the combination of "posh" with "casual", which was the owner’s main concept for the public image of the shop.
